Structural and logistical challenge

In addition to the moveable scaffolding system for Stemmenbrua, thyssenkrupp Infrastructure also supplied shoring systems for 14 further structures on the new E 18 highway through southern Norway, including five up to 213 meter long viaducts, crossings and two tunnels. The whole project involved a very high logistical effort. Planning work for the entire project began in July 2017 and all 15 structures had to be completed within a two-year period, i.e. a total of around 3,000 tons of material had to be transported from Germany to Norway. The services provided by thyssenkrupp Infrastructure included the import of all materials including customs clearance, technical processing of the structural analysis of the shoring systems and their erection, conversion and dismantling as well as the moving of the push scaffold. To meet the two-year deadline, four construction projects were supervised in parallel.
